Summary: Clearance AI processes everything on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your audio, transcriptions, or clearance data. No account is required. No personal information is gathered.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Clearance AI is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect:
- Audio recordings or microphone input
- Transcriptions of ATC communications
- Clearance data (runway, altitude, heading, frequency, squawk)
- Your aircraft callsign or registration
- Location or GPS data
- Personal information or contact details
- Device identifiers or usage analytics
2. On-Device Processing
All speech recognition and clearance extraction happens entirely on your iPhone using Apple's on-device speech recognition technology. Audio from your microphone is:
- Processed locally on your device
- Never recorded or stored
- Never transmitted to any server
- Discarded immediately after processing
The App functions fully offline. No internet connection is required for any feature.
3. Microphone Access
Clearance AI requests microphone access solely to listen to ATC radio communications for real-time transcription. The microphone is used only when the App is actively transcribing. No audio is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted.
4. No Account Required
Clearance AI does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in with any service. There is no user authentication system.
5. Third-Party Services
Clearance AI does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The App does not contain any tracking SDKs or advertising frameworks.
6. App Store
Clearance AI is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect certain information related to your download and purchase. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on their data practices.
7. Data Retention
Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to retain. All processing happens in real-time on your device and is not stored.
8. Children's Privacy
Clearance AI does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The App is intended for use by pilots and is not directed at children.
